13 weeks

At 13 weeks I am in my last week of my first trimester!!! Nausea & being sick has become somewhat of a routine for me. Yesterday I was sick three times, and left work early to rest at home. Today I am feeling pretty good. I didn't even have nausea when I woke up this morning, and a nice hot shower (thank you Honey) went a long way to starting off today on the right note! It also didn't hurt that I was in bed by 7:30 and asleep by 9:00 last night. My Mom had always said if sleeping were a sport, I would be an Olympic Champion!! Lately, I have definitely been preparing for the "Gold"!! haha

Thanks to my sister Sherri, we now have a baby bed! I am so excited that our little one will get to borrow the same bed that my nephew Jake slept in as a baby. With any luck, our baby will turn out to be as wonderful a child as he is!

I also got in my first maternity clothes on Monday (thank you Old Navy). Every time I pulled out a top, I was like, "It's so big". I keep forgetting that soon I will also be, "so big".....lol. It was really hard for me to hang up a bunch of new clothes and not be able to wear them right away, but oh well. So far I can still wear most of my work clothes, only a few pants are a little snug. It will be neat to finally see the evidence of pregnancy, and not just look like I've gained a few pounds.

Here is what's going on with Baby Schoff this week:
"Fingerprints have formed on your baby's tiny fingertips, her veins and organs are clearly visible through her still-thin skin, and her body is starting to catch up with her head — which makes up just a third of her body size now. If you're having a girl, she now has more than 2 million eggs in her ovaries. Your baby is almost 3 inches long (the size of a medium shrimp) and weighs nearly an ounce.See what your baby looks like this week.Note: Every baby develops a little differently — even in the womb. Our information is designed to give you a general idea of your baby's development.
How your life's changing:This is the last week of your first trimester, and your risk of miscarriage is now much lower than earlier in pregnancy. Next week marks the beginning of your second trimester, a time of relative comfort for many women who see early pregnancy symptoms such as morning sickness and fatigue subside. More good news: Many couples also notice a distinct
libido lift around this time. Birth is still months away, but your breasts may have already started making colostrum, the nutrient-rich fluid that feeds your baby for the first few days after birth, before your milk starts to flow." - courtesy of babycenter.com

Hope you all have a wonderful week! God Bless, S&S
