We have NAMES!
If it's a boy: Frank David Schoff
Frank is after my Dad, and David after Steve's Dad
If it's a girl: Violet Rowan Schoff
Although the middle name is still up in the air, this one is my favorite so far! Violet is a family name on both sides, Steve's Grandmother was Violet Schoff, and my Great-Grandmother was Velma Violet Clepper. Once we realized that, Violet was the winner! The middle name means, "little red head" so if she has red hair I think it's a no-brainer!
Hope you like our names....and, if you don't, oh well we don't need to hear about it...LOL!!!
Have a great end of the week and fabulous weekend!

14 Weeks ~ Second Trimester!!
So we found out that the baby bed we are using had been recalled. Not to worry though, I went online and ordered the replacement parts (and missing hook) and we should have that in a week or so! I can't wait to find out what we are having so we can finally add some COLOR to the baby's room! I think we plan on fixing our master bedroom soon too. Poor Steve cannot sleep on our cheap Queen matress anymore so I think it's time to upgrade! Looks like we are going for a King....and that will be nice too for later in my pregnancy.
I came home last night to some beautiful roses from my sweetie....so I thought I'd share with you all! What a nice "happy second trimester" gift!! ;) Thank you Steve, I love you so very much!!!!!!
So here's what's happening with Baby Schoff at week 14:
This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb. In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His body's growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his body. (His legs still have some lengthening to do.) He's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over his body. Your baby's liver starts making bile this week — a sign that it's doing its job right — and his spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells. Though you can't feel his tiny punches and kicks yet, your little pugilist's hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active. - courtesy of babycenter.com

13 weeks
Thanks to my sister Sherri, we now have a baby bed! I am so excited that our little one will get to borrow the same bed that my nephew Jake slept in as a baby. With any luck, our baby will turn out to be as wonderful a child as he is!
I also got in my first maternity clothes on Monday (thank you Old Navy). Every time I pulled out a top, I was like, "It's so big". I keep forgetting that soon I will also be, "so big".....lol. It was really hard for me to hang up a bunch of new clothes and not be able to wear them right away, but oh well. So far I can still wear most of my work clothes, only a few pants are a little snug. It will be neat to finally see the evidence of pregnancy, and not just look like I've gained a few pounds.
Here is what's going on with Baby Schoff this week:
"Fingerprints have formed on your baby's tiny fingertips, her veins and organs are clearly visible through her still-thin skin, and her body is starting to catch up with her head — which makes up just a third of her body size now. If you're having a girl, she now has more than 2 million eggs in her ovaries. Your baby is almost 3 inches long (the size of a medium shrimp) and weighs nearly an ounce.See what your baby looks like this week.Note: Every baby develops a little differently — even in the womb. Our information is designed to give you a general idea of your baby's development.
How your life's changing:This is the last week of your first trimester, and your risk of miscarriage is now much lower than earlier in pregnancy. Next week marks the beginning of your second trimester, a time of relative comfort for many women who see early pregnancy symptoms such as morning sickness and fatigue subside. More good news: Many couples also notice a distinct libido lift around this time. Birth is still months away, but your breasts may have already started making colostrum, the nutrient-rich fluid that feeds your baby for the first few days after birth, before your milk starts to flow." - courtesy of babycenter.com
Hope you all have a wonderful week! God Bless, S&S

12 weeks (or 12 weeks and 5 days)
Dr. Poag also mentioned that I have placenta previa, which she said, is very common this early on in pregnancy. That means that my placenta is growing low in my uterus, covering my cervix. She said most of the time this will correct itself as the pregnancy continues. If not, I will need a C-Section when it comes time to deliver. Let's all hope that's not necessary, I would really like to deliver the old fashioned way.....despite all the painful horror stories!! LOL
I also wanted to say thank you to all the family and friends who are so supportive and love reading my blog. I know it may be a little graphic from time to time, but I try to make it funny! I figure if I am going to be miserable, I might as well get a good laugh out of it.
Hope you enjoy our latest photos of Baby Schoff, I know I can't stop looking at them....I'm already a proud Momma!!

Dad's Cheeseburger's, Mamaw's Birthday & Football
Saturday, at my request, Dad made his AWESOME homemade cheeseburgers; I had been craving them the whole week before!!!! They were so delicious, and I was pleased that I almost finished my burger :). Thanks again Dad, for making those for me (although I know everyone else enjoyed them too). Now what's on the menu for this weekend??? haha
Sunday we (and by we, I mean ME) slept in & watched movies. Then I headed to Mamaw & Papaw's. It was Mamaw's birthday on Saturday, but we celebrated at coffee on Sunday since Papaw had been in the hospital. Thankfully, he was back home with us on Sunday!! After coffee, I scooped up Steve and we went to Mom & Dad's to watch the game, eat briskett & Dad's famous bean dip!
Myself and Baby Schoff seem to be doing great!! I have a barely noticeable bump that really looks more like bloat! Steve and I (& Mom) are looking forward to our Dr. visit on Wednesday. I just can't wait to hear his/her heartbeat! I'll post all the updates that afternoon!
Have a blessed week!

11 Weeks!
Now for the weekly update - Here's what's happening with Baby Schoff this week:
"Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, is now almost fully formed. Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden. She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccupping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming." - courtesy of babycenter.com
